From Zambia to Uganda: BTZ Completes First International Biodigester Project
Biogas Technology Zambia (BTZ) has completed its first international commercial project in Jinja, Uganda. A 200m³ biodigester was installed at Yalelo Uganda between Nov 2025 – Jan 2026 to process 1,000–3,000kg of fish mortalities daily. The plant now produces 100–120m³ of biogas per day, which fully meets cooking and water heating needs for 1,200 workers, and 110–135 tonnes of organic fertilizer.
